Position : Administrative Assistant-Japanese Bilingual

Company : Wholesale, Import / Export

Location : Torrance, CA

Work Style : Onsite

Salary Range : $22- 25 / hour

Administrative & Sales Assistant (Part-Time or Full-Time)

A well-established international company is seeking a bilingual (Japanese / English) Administrative & Sales Assistant to join our small but dynamic office team. We are primarily looking for a part-time employee, but we are open to considering full-time candidates as well.

Position Options & Work Hours :

Part-Time (Preferred)

  • Monday - Thursday : 2 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 PM (Start time is flexible, but working until 6 PM is required.)
  • Friday : Flexible 4 hours (e.g., 11 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM).
  • We are open to adjusting the schedule for candidates who prefer slightly longer hours.

Full-Time (Optional)

  • Monday - Friday : 9 : 00 AM - 6 : 00 PM
  • Key Requirements :

  • Must be able to work on-site (not a remote position).
  • Business-level Japanese and English proficiency required.
  • Prior experience in shipping coordination is a plus, but a willingness to learn is acceptable.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license (occasional drop-offs at UPS, USPS).
  • Strong interpersonal skills - we value a team player who fits well in a small office environment .
  • Job Responsibilities :

    Administrative Duties

  • Handling incoming and outgoing shipments and mail.
  • Managing and replenishing office supplies.
  • Maintaining the coffee machine.
  • Coordinating with the cleaning service (twice a week).
  • Preparing and processing documents for banks and government agencies.
  • Communicating with vendors (e.g., AT&T, Spectrum, etc.).
  • Occasionally assisting visiting colleagues and clients with market research (rare).
  • Sales Support

  • Coordinating sample shipments.
  • Ordering materials and accessories.
  • Liaising with factories, inspection agencies, clients, headquarters, and partner companies.
  • Preparing and verifying shipping documents.
  • Sending invoices and payment requests, tracking payments.
  • Assisting in creating monthly reports and proposals.
  • Supporting basic accounting tasks (e.g., QuickBooks data entry).
  • Assisting with license-related tasks.
  • Real Estate Support (Full-Time Candidates Only)

    For part-time employees, these tasks will primarily be handled by another team member.)

  • Overseeing company-owned building management and reporting.
  • Processing building-related payments.
  • Scheduling and managing parking lot maintenance services.
  • Communicating with tenants and service providers.
  • Ideal Candidate Profile :

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Comfortable working in a small office environment.
  • Able to multitask and communicate effectively in both Japanese and English.
  • Has a willingness to learn and take on diverse tasks beyond administrative work.
