Salary Range : $110,000 - $130,000 (depends on location)
General Summary / Objective
A leading global organization specializing in advanced materials and technologies is seeking an ambitious and motivated professional to lead a newly created chemical compliance role. This position requires diverse experience in chemical compliance, strong communication skills, and the ability to develop robust company policies and procedures while ensuring timely fulfillment of chemical reporting requirements for U.S. government agencies. The ideal candidate can work autonomously and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Policy Development and Implementation
- Develop, implement, and maintain chemical compliance policies and procedures for the North American (N.A.) region, covering the United States and Mexico.
- Ensure compliance with regulations such as TSCA California Prop 65 PFAS HFC , and others related to the organization’s products.
- Regulatory Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and manage regulatory reports (e.g., CDR PFAS HFC ) to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
- Collaborate with key business units and production sites to collect necessary information.
- Verify and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all products.
- Oversee the Chemtrec Account to maintain compliance.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including international business units, North American production sites, regulatory agencies, and consultants.
- Address regulatory inquiries and concerns related to products sold or manufactured in North America.
- Compliance Assessments
- Work with Sales Divisions and North American group companies to assess new products, reformulated products, and new industry regulations.
- Ensure compliance with U.S., Mexican, and global regulations.
- Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize compliance workflows.
- Build awareness of policies and procedures within the chemical compliance function.
