Job Description
Title : Product Development Supervisor - Japanese Bilingual-
Salary : $65K- $75K
Work Style : Hybrid work (combination of in-office and remote work)

Summary :
The Product Development Supervisor will play a key role in the planning, development, and execution of new and existing products. This individual will take ownership of promotional and seasonal product development, including packaging, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, technical knowledge, and strong project management skills to drive product innovation and development with minimal supervision. Japanese fluency (speak, read and write) is required.
Responsibilities :
- Plan, develop, and execute new and existing products in alignment with consumer and market trends as well as company strategy.
- Manage new product development projects from concept through post-launch analysis, including market research, concept development, segmentation-targeting-positioning (STP) analysis, project timeline management, package design, and profit / loss analysis.
- Lead the development and execution of promotional and seasonal products tailored to specific retail channels.
- Develop creative briefs and collaborate with package designers and packaging vendors to create visually appealing packaging that aligns with brand identity and consumer preferences.
- Conduct internal sensory evaluations and provide feedback to the R&D team during the prototype development phases.
- Collaborate with the Consumer Research Department to conduct research and incorporate findings into product development.
- Work cross-functionally with external suppliers, Sales, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) to ensure timely product launches.
- Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, development processes, and artwork.
- Analyze industry trends and competitor products to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with QA and external consultants to ensure products, ingredients, labels, and claims comply with FDA regulations, guidance, and company standards.
- Continuously improve departmental procedures and strengthen organizational efficiency.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to other department team members as needed.
