GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Receives incoming calls and diverts calls to proper department/personnel. Receives callers at the establishment, determines nature of business, and directs callers to destination.
MONDAY-FRIDAY, 8:00AM-4:30PM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates telephone console to receive and direct incoming calls.
- Answers inquiries and directs calls and visitors to the appropriate department.
- Takes messages by recording name, time of call, nature of business, and person called upon when necessary.
- Collects and distributes inter-office mail and messages.
- Performs a variety of clerical duties to assist other departments as assigned.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Equivalent to four years high school or GED plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
