The Opportunity

Delaware North's Patina Restaurant Group is hiring a part-time Pastry Cook to join our team at Patina Catering Kitchen in Los Angeles, California. As a Pastry Cook, you will prepare the bakery products at Patina Catering Kitchen and ensure all items are served in a timely manner to the highest freshness and quality.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes portion sizes and to a quality standards
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked, and utilize kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as knives, slicers, pots, steamers, and ovens
• Ensures proper baking temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines

Qualifications

• No experience or diploma required
• Basic math skills with the ability to understand, calculate and follow recipe measurements
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work as a team player, following procedures and taking directions
• Capacity to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to remain standing for the entire length of shift while also walking, bending, reaching, and performing other repetitive motions
