Landscaping Specialist
Must be 21 years or older
Required: Valid Driver's License & good driving record
Current Position is Seasonal but could be year-round for the ideal candidate
Pay Range is based on experience ($22.00-$30.00/hour)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscape maintenance and a strong understanding of lawn care practices. This role involves working outdoors, utilizing various tools and equipment to ensure the health and aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties.
Duties
- Managing all landscaping projects, including design, installation, and maintenance
- Manage the planting of new shrubs, trees, perennials and flowers
- Trimming and pruning of shrubs, hedges and ornamental trees
- Weeding and mulching landscape beds
- Care for established lawns by aerating, thatching of lawns and trimming/edging around flower beds, etc.
- Complete Spring and Fall Clean-ups
- Install pavers, patios, walkways, retaining walls or other hardscaping
- Proper Installation of sod and grass seed
- Oversee the scheduling of work routes to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely manner
- Monitor the condition of lawns and landscapes, identifying any issues related to pests or diseases.
- Perform regular lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, and trimming to maintain healthy lawns.
- Utilize a variety of lawn and landscaping power equipment and hand tools.
- Supervise a crew of 3-4 members
Experience
- Pesticide Application License – is a huge plus but not required
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred.
- Prior commercial landscape experience is also preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must possess a valid driver's license for transportation to job sites.
- Safely operate trucks, trailers, and dump trucks
- Able to safely operate machinery (as instructed)
- Physical Stamina and the ability to work outdoors for long periods of time in all weather conditions.
- Able to sit, stand, kneel and lift/move 50 lbs. repeatedly with no physical limitations or restrictions.
- Must have strong communication and time management skills
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Experience with snow removal is also a plus
Hours: Monday – Friday & weekend hours as needed
Expected work hours: 35-40 hours per week
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
