Job Title: Medical Technologist

Schedule: Night Shift - 8 nights on, 6 nights off (schedule may vary based on staffing needs)

Key Qualifications:

• Certification/Registration with ASCP, NCA, NEW, or equivalent registry.
• Proven phlebotomy experience and ability to perform EKGs, arterial/capillary collections, and therapeutic phlebotomies.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills for interaction with medical and technical staff.
• Computer proficiency for laboratory reporting and communications.
• Bilingual skills are a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Perform and coordinate testing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate results for routine, timed, and STAT testing.
• Integrate scientific knowledge with technical skills to maintain high standards in laboratory operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the Safety/Chemical Hygiene Plan, Infection Control Plan, and Disaster Plans.
• Clarify physician orders, answer questions regarding specimens and results, and troubleshoot issues with laboratory equipment.
• Prepare and monitor quality control charts, instrument checks, and maintenance protocols.
• Assist with training new employees and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Provide patient care with attention to age-related techniques and the reduction of medical errors.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $1,885.00 - $1,930.00 per week
