Painter

PCM Services is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team! As a Painter, you will carry out various painting tasks under the direction of the Foreman, including drywall patching, prep work, priming, and painting of interior and exterior surfaces. This role requires a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble scaffolding as needed for projects
• Prepare work areas by covering trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with protective materials to prevent paint damage
• Assist in setting up equipment and safety measures (fans, cones, caution tape, wet paint signs)
• Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding, scraping, and filling holes
• Apply primer, paint, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
• Clean tools and work areas using water, solvents, and cleaning supplies

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of commercial painting experience (interior & exterior)
• Permanent Resident or US Citizen (Required)
• Knowledge of surface preparation, drywall patching/point-up, and paint application using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
• Experience with ladder and aerial work platform use (scissor lifts, boom lifts – training available)
• Have a reliable form of transportation
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear and effective communication within the team and with management
• Physical strength and endurance, including standing, climbing, and bending for extended periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be flexible with hours; availability for weekend and weekday shifts is required (occasional night shifts may be necessary based on project demands)
