MEMBERSHIP ASSOCIATE (full-time, remote)
Job Overview
PDK International is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Membership Associate. The Membership Associate is a key member of the membership team, responsible for providing exceptional support to members and prospective members. This role ensures smooth communication and interaction with members, assists with membership administration, and contributes to the development of processes and resources. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to manage individual projects effectively.
Primary Duties
The Membership Associate will report to the Membership Director and will serve as a member of the membership team providing high-quality customer service to members through phone calls and emails. This role will also work with other senior staff to execute state and national conferences, summits, and other related projects to increase the engagement of the membership across the organization.

Educators Rising is prepared to offer $45,000 to $50,000 as compensation for the role, depending on experience, as well as a generous 403(b), vacation, and health benefits.

Primary Responsibilities Include
Member Support:
- Provide prompt high-quality customer service to membership-related inquiries via phone and email.
- Provide information about membership benefits, renewals, and processes.
- Resolve member issues and escalate concerns to the Director of Membership when necessary.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders including chapter and student leaders, state coordinators, teacher leaders, and donors
- Process membership payments, renewals, and updates accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and update member records in the membership database.
- Generate reports and metrics related to membership trends and activities.
- Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for membership-related tasks.
- Develop and refine resources, guides, and FAQs to enhance the member experience.
- Take ownership of individual projects that align with organizational goals, such as onboarding new members, enhancing member engagement initiatives, or implementing new systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of assigned projects.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on strategies to improve membership services.
- Assist with membership events including the National Conference, campaigns, or other initiatives as needed.
- Assist in processing shipments and mailing of membership materials, as needed
- Support office staff as needed to keep operations running smoothly
- Other duties as assigned
- As a prerequisite, the successful candidate must believe in the core values of PDK International and be driven by the mission. Beyond that, we are seeking a candidate who has exceptional organizational skills and is detail-oriented.
- Preference will be given to individuals who live in the DC Metro Area.
- Proven customer service skills
- Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with excellent follow-through.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team effort
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe product and project management software experience a plus
- Must be well detail-oriented and possess excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to project manage and an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently
- Proven self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives; results-oriented, and effective in a culture of change
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
