Floating Classroom Aide, Head Start program

SCHEDULE: 37.5 hours per week, 44 weeks per year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working with children under age 5 in a group setting.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Good communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Some or all of the following duties may be performed as required by your assigned site supervisor:

• Support and assist center and classroom staff as needed.
• Assist classroom teams in implementing a child-centered, quality early childhood program for children under age 5.
• Assist with classroom cleaning duties and serving meals to children as needed.
• Serve as a monitor on the school bus, assisting children with fastening seat belts and making sure that children are safe during transport.
