Preschool Teacher Plus

Peaceful Heights Montessori is a 4 star accredited center looking for energetic teachers motivated and inspired to work with preschool children ages 18 months to kindergarten. PHM is dedicated to developing the whole child and preparing each child for a successful school experience.

Candidate must be at least a Rule 3 qualified assistant teacher. The ideal teacher would have previous experience with children in a childcare center. This person would also have a passion and love for young children. A teacher at PHM will be expected to participate in maintaining a learning environment that meets licensing standards and assist the lead teacher in planning and conducting daily activities for a group of children. Candidates should be able to implement age appropriate activities for the classroom, have good communication skills. The candidate must have or will obtain a current CPR and first aid certification before or upon employment.

We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 21 and will inspire children to be lifelong learners! As a Teacher, you will:

• Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
• Complete extensive training on child care and child development topics.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Previous experience in childcare teaching, or behavioral science
• Passionate about working with children.
• Ability to build rapport with children.
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Associate or bachelor’s in early childhood education or CDA Accepted.

Infant and Toddler rooms lead to bright preschool and kindergarten classrooms. Large, organized workspaces create an environment for independent physical, intellectual, social, and self-development potentials. Teachers work with children using self-correcting materials to explore language, mathematics, art, music, science, and geography.
