Position Summary:
The Recruiter & Scheduling Coordinator for Peachtree Catering & Events supports ongoing and continual talent acquisition and event staffing needs. This role is responsible for the full recruitment cycle for front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) positions, as well as assisting in the recruitment of managerial and director-level staff. Additionally, the role will provide scheduling support to the Staffing Manager, ensuring events are adequately staffed in alignment with company standards and labor cost objectives.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in recruitment and/or scheduling within the hospitality industry and possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for FOH and BOH roles, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Assist in the recruitment of managerial and director-level staff as needed.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for seasonal and on-call positions.
- Develop and implement creative strategies to attract top hospitality talent.
- Coordinate and conduct pre-screening interviews and reference checks.
- Organize and participate in job fairs, hiring events, and recruitment campaigns.
- Work closely with department managers to understand hiring needs and staffing levels.
Scheduling Support:
- Assist the Staffing Manager in scheduling FOH and BOH teams for events.
- Ensure compliance with labor cost objectives and event requirements.
- Monitor staff availability and coordinate replacements as needed.
- Track employee confirmations for upcoming shifts and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Collaborate with temp agencies to fill last-minute staffing needs.
- Maintain and update a staffing par sheet to prioritize hiring needs.
- Attend weekly BEO meetings and coordinate with the Operations team to ensure proper staffing levels.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in recruitment and/or scheduling within the hospitality industry.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency with recruitment platforms, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and scheduling software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to last-minute changes.
- Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in hiring and staffing.
