Full-Time Household Manager Position in Boulder, CO – Start ASAP!

A generous family in Boulder is seeking a reliable, experienced nanny to join their household and provide support for their two children, ages 9.5 and 12. This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, with a somewhat flexible and unique schedule. You’ll be expected to work Monday – Friday, hours falling between 7am - 7pm. Occasionally, you may be asked to work overnight or travel with the family (typically once every 3-4 months), but this will always be agreed upon in advance. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Morning and after-school care for two bright, creative, and energetic children
• Make school lunches and assist with preparing for school and after-school activities
• Take children to school and after-school activities (rock climbing, archery, piano lessons)
• Provide guidance and structure for schoolwork, chores, and other responsibilities
• Other household tasks such as arranging handymen and running errands, etc 
• Help with household organization and light cleaning tasks as needed
• Help with maintaining routines, setting boundaries, and offering emotional support as needed for the kids

About the Kids:

• The 9-year-old is outgoing, extroverted, and loves physical activities like rock climbing and archery.
• The 12-year-old is quieter, introverted, and enjoys playing piano and composing music.
• Both children are fairly independent, but require guidance to stay on track with their daily routines.

Ideal Candidate:

They are looking for a family assistant who can support the children while providing structure and a sense of calmness in the household. While the kids are old enough to handle much of their own care, they need an organized, reliable adult to guide them and ensure they stay on schedule with their routines. Experience with children in this age group is preferred, as well as a passion for creating educational and enriching environments. They’d love for you to become a long-term part of the family and help contribute to their growth and development. They are really looking for somebody that prides themselves on being a career nanny, and doesn't use this job as a transition point from one career to the next. This family is offering a generous base salary in exchange for someone who is willing to be dedicated and prioritize the family calendar as much as possible. They also will commit to the nanny's long term goals and dreams, if they can commit to their family schedule ease of operations over the long term. This position involves a fair amount of driving, so a clean driving record and responsible driving skills are a must.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to work one weekend day per month (schedule arranged in advance, usually 4-5 hours)
• Occasional overnight stays or travel with the family, as needed and agreed upon in advance.
• Comfortable around pets – they have a gentle Siberian cat, known for being hypoallergenic.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $35/hour based on experience
• Guaranteed 35 hours per week
