What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Front Desk position at Pearl Plastic Surgery?
We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment and efficient administrative support. You will manage appointment scheduling, handle patient inquiries, manage incoming referrals, and perform various clerical tasks to support the smooth operation of our medical facility.
Job duties include (but not limited to):
- Client Check in/out: Facility the check-in and check-out process, assist with paperwork, process payments for services, co-payments, deductibles, etc.
- Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, maintain and update patient appointments using our scheduling system
- Insurance and Billing Assistance: Verify patient insurance, eligibility/benefit information accurately
- Referral Management: Receive and process incoming referrals, verifying insurance and coordinating consultation appointments.
- Answer Inquiries: Answer phones, online form inquiries, and emails while providing accurate information about the spa's services, products, pricing and promotions
- Administrative Support: Handle clerical duties such as scanning, faxing and maintaining patient medical records in electronic medical record
Minimum Required:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in appointment scheduling software and basic computer applications
- Must be available to work weekends
Preferred (but not required):
Software experience: Advanced MD
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
