Our downtown Birmingham office is looking for a bilingual Scheduling Coordinator to join our team.
The successful candidate will have a positive and caring attitude and will be dedicated to the overall wellbeing of our patients by listening and understanding the patient’s needs while scheduling them for dental care. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Answering phones promptly and efficiently
- Scheduling appointments for patients at up to 6 different office locations
- Maintaining patient records via Dentrix Software
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be fluent in Spanish and be able to converse, translate, interpret, provide assistance ensuring clear and accurate communication
- Two years of experience in a dental/medical office required
- Knowledge of working with Dentrix / Dolphin software preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology and ADA/CPT codes required
- Strong knowledge base of dental insurance and the ability to explain dental benefits required
- Must possess excellent interpersonal relations skills and have the capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities
- Must possess a high level of flexibility and tolerance to adjustments/changes in work loads and assignments
- Valid driver’s license is required
Schedule
The scheduling department hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30AM-5:00PM and Friday 7:30AM-1:00PM.
