Full Job Description:
Kaleidoscope Kids, located in Crandall, Texas (30 minutes southeast of Dallas), has an immediate opening for a pediatrician/pediatric nurse practitioner. We are a rapid-growing, physician owned, private practice seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time BC/BE pediatrician. Opportunity is office based and strictly outpatient care. The practice has been established for 19 years and is currently comprised of one pediatrician and two pediatric nurse practitioner providing care to newborns through 21 years of age. Normal working hours, 4-day work week, average 25 patients per day workload.
Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations on infants, children, and adolescents to assess their health and development.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses, infections, injuries, and other health conditions specific to children.
- Monitor growth and development milestones to ensure that children are progressing normally.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions, such as asthma, allergies, diabetes, and infections.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, or lifestyle modifications as necessary to manage health conditions.
- Provide emergency care and referrals to specialists when needed for more complex conditions.
- Prescribe vaccinations and ensure patients are up to date with the recommended immunization schedule.
- Perform in-office procedures such as incision and drainage, catheterization for urinalysis, manual cerumen removal, etc.
- Educate parents, families and caregivers on preventive health measures, including proper nutrition, exercise, sleep, and safety practices.
- Offer support and advice on mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders.
- Shared after hours telephone call filtered by nurse triage service.
- Provides direct supervision of mid-level practitioners and students.
- Participates in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team.
- Participates in the review and development of patient care policies, including health maintenance schedules and continuity of care.

Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
- Current valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas
- Current DEA certificate
