Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Restaurant Server. Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist guests in making menu selections and provide recommendations when necessary.
- Take accurate and detailed orders, ensuring any special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
2. Order Processing:
- Input orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages.
3. Knowledge of Menu:
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
- Stay informed about daily specials and promotions to effectively upsell to guests.
4. Table Maintenance:
- Set up and prepare tables for incoming guests, ensuring cleanliness and proper arrangement of utensils, napkins, and glassware.
- Monitor and anticipate guest needs, providing refills, condiments, or additional items as required.
5. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other front-of-house and back-of-house team members to ensure seamless service.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to convey any modifications or special requests from guests.
6. Cash Handling:
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Reconcile cash register at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies.
7. Upkeep of Service Area:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining and server stations.
- Assist in restocking supplies, such as utensils, napkins, and condiments.
8. Adherence to Policies and Regulations:
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe dining environment.
- Adhere to alcohol service regulations, checking identification and refusing service when necessary.
9. Handling Guest Concerns:
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management when needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
