What are the responsibilities and job description for the Green Coffee Logistics Specialist(Contractor) position at Peet's coffee?
Reporting to the Sr. Coffee Buyer, the Green Coffee Logistics Specialist is responsible for tracking and reporting coffee shipments and deliveries from suppliers, and the accurate and timely receipt and payment of coffee invoices. The GCL works closely with the production planning team to forecast production needs for all co-manufacturing operations; facilitate release and transfer of coffee in the volume and assortment required for weekly production; help establish and maintain safety stock in all co-man locations.
This role is full-time, in office with up to 5 days a week.
Contract duration : 6 months
The target hourly rate is $35.00 / hour.
Essential Responsibilities
- Tracks import shipments from coffee suppliers to ensure timely deliveries according to green coffee contracts
- Works closely with suppliers in updating green coffee positions in warehouse and in transit
- Manages receiving and inventory transactions in D365 as they relate to co-manufacturing
- Reviews and authorizes payment for coffee, logistics and warehouse vendor invoices related to co-manufacturing
- Responsible for accurate and timely monthly reporting of coffee deliveries and compliance against contracts assigned for co-manufacturing
- Supports green coffee data management in inventory management system
- Builds and maintains productive working relationships with vendors, in particular green coffee suppliers and warehouses
- Assists Green Coffee Planner and Co-manufacturing Specialist in forecasting production needs and managing green coffee logistics from warehouse to co-man facilities in volume and assortment required for production
- Crosstrain and seamlessly cover for Green Coffee Logistics colleagues
- Other supply chain assignments as required
