Account Servicing Specialist (Baton Rouge, LA)

The role of the Account Servicing Specialist is a key member of the credit union's member services team, responsible for delivering exceptional account servicing support to credit union members, various departments, and branches. This role involves handling a diverse range of tasks related to deceased accounts, IRAs, credit bureau disputes, and other specialized account-related matters. The ideal candidate is a go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for serving others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products is a must! They should be comfortable working independently as a contributing member of a team and making outbound calls to members as well as working a set schedule in Genesys phone queue along with communicating with members through Banno messaging and text.  Meeting deadlines and attention to detail are critical pieces of this position. Our Account Servicing Specialist must embody Pelican’s Core Values and provide excellent service in all that they do.   A Day in the Life of an Account Servicing Specialist INCLUDES: Providing comprehensive account servicing support to credit union members, addressing inquiries, requests, and concerns. Working in a quality assurance capacity to monitor, follow-up, and track audit, production, and transaction reports, outages, and functionality of assigned systems. Investigating and resolving credit bureau disputes and inaccuracies on members' credit reports, working closely with credit reporting agencies and members to ensure accurate reporting. Serving as an administrator for third-party products, including helping with outages, login issues, password resets, and add/modify user setup for vendors. Maintain and service deceased memberships, ensuring proper documentation is received and paid out to the appropriate administrator or beneficiary, filing Credit Life claims, updating records as necessary, and other related tasks.   Account Servicing Specialist Skills and qualifications include: A high school education or GED. 2 years of similar or related experience in servicing accounts within a financial institution. Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.   Other things you may want to know about this position: Work Schedule Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Travel Travel is rarely necessary for this position.
