Summary
We are looking for a results-driven Outside Sales Manager; a dynamic leader and accomplished sales professional with the ability to coach and motivate our sales team.
As our Outside Sales Manager, you’ll oversee and support a team of Sales Representatives throughout our 60-county territory in Michigan. Our Outside Sales Representatives work with and call on builders, architects, and designers, and homeowners in the residential construction industry You will play a hands-on role coaching, motivating, and sometimes jumping in to help close the deal while driving a culture of accountability, growth, and success.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example - mentor and coach our outside sales team to drive performance and close deals
- Step-in and assist with complex sales when necessary
- Set stretch goals and hold the team accountable for consistent follow-through and results
- Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies that drive growth and strengthen client relationships
- Focus on cultivating long-term customer partnerships
Requirements
- 7 years of successful sales experience (industry related preferred)
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- 3 years of proven leadership or management experience
- Proven experience in outside sales or a similar role, preferably in the home improvement or construction industry.
- Strong territory management skills with a track record of meeting sales goals.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM software .
- Located in Grand Rapids, MI
