Job Summary:
The objective of the Discipline Coordinator role is to ensure that routine maintenance work scopes are safely, effectively, and efficiently executed by PEMEX and Contractor crafts. This includes troubleshooting, quality control and assurance, planning accuracy, supporting Area Field Coordinator in field execution.
Critical to success in role requires the Coordinator to build a strong working relationship with Production Team members – from Technical, Operations, and Maintenance – to ensure the team delivers an asset that is a reliable & available.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
  • CORE Responsibilities.
    • Hard/soft week scope validation and material management
    • Reliability walk through of respective units with notification generation
    • Support AFC in safe efficient delivery of routine maintenance work including emergency and schedule breaker work.
    • Crafts first point of contact for technical support.
    • Operations first point of contact for instrument needs, status, and updates.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and safety focused culture are maintained both in Personal and Process Safety
    • Support and engage in daily tailgate meetings with PEMEX crafts and ensure contractor companies conduct quality tailgates
    • Support Safety Engagements with team ensuring engagements are engaging and relevant to team.
    • Understand learnings from near-miss and recordable injury events to determine root cause and prevent recurrence
    • Address workplace equipment or facility safety issues, ensuring issues are appropriately captured in FIM and or GSAP
    • Support AFCs in assuring crafts, both PEMEX and contractor, are competent and qualified to complete the work assigned safely
    • Review JSA and work permits for accuracy and quality, recognizing excellence and addressing gaps
    • Review/audit breathing air and IDLH jobs completed by PEMEX and contractor crafts
    • MSC rotational responsibilities on off hours.
  • Know and deliver in role and responsibilities in the Maintenance Execution (ME) Workflow
    • Key deliverables include but are not limited to:
      • Develop work scope in SAP for all work orders in SAP.
      • Develop work plan for E-tickets, for complex Schedule Breakers request planning & scheduling support as needed.
      • Support AFCs with providing updates to Scheduler daily
      • Review schedules to ensure workable scopes and plans are scheduled to ensure efficient delivery.
        • Daily & Frozen Week: support AFC (& MSC on off-hours)
        • Hard & Soft Week: accountable for plan efficiency, scope accuracy, material management, rental equipment, initiate vendor requests (RRF) & work pack development for issuance
      • Monitor backlog growth and shrinkage that could impact resource levels and discuss with AFC if resource levels need to be adjusted to address.
      • Manage the maintenance completion (MCMP) of work following any post activities and validation of a quality repair (includes housekeeping)
    • As scheduled, fulfill the requirements of the Maintenance Weekend Duty person (per guidelines).
  • Ensure the Quality of the Work Completed
    • Assure completion of work scope is per PEMEX Standards and applicable Site Orders
    • Assure scope of work is clearly understood by crafts and questions are addressed prior to executing work
    • Where deviations from Standards or Site Orders are required, escalate within Maintenance or Technical
    • Provides quality control oversight on work scope to ensure work scope is delivered as planned and/or expected
    • Identify and document rework incidents using the CURE process, determine root cause to avoid recurrence
    • Trouble shoot equipment and provide technical insight for provided work scope
    • Ensure completion and provide quality control for all required discipline paperwork
      • Includes, but not limited to: M-119 for Electrical, M-132 bolting S-137 SIS
    • Provide feedback to engineer and a planner on components missing or incorrect on BOM
  • Support Productivity & Efficiency of the Work Activities
    • Support discipline work activities with field presence and assure First Starts and subsequent jobs start as expected, auditing job sites for safety and providing immediate support to crafts as needed
    • Support AFC with management of daily issues, proactively and reactively, that impact the ability of crafts to complete work, such as issues with equipment availability, operations readiness, shared resource availability, tools, rental equipment, materials, etc.
    • Maintain contact – face to face, verbal (radio/phone) – with PEMEX and contractor crafts, including third party services, throughout the duration of day/job to ensure work progresses efficiently
    • Solicit improvement opportunities from team, both PEMEX and Contractor, and supports implementation as appropriate
    • For work that is Scheduled but Plans are incorrect, work with Scheduler to update the Plans so they are workable and ensure feedback is given to Planner
    • Ensure rental equipment is managed effectively including optimize rentals, timely return of rental equipment and validate invoices are accurate
    • Advise and Support all PEMEX and Contract Crafts working in the Coordinator’s Assigned Area
      • Provide feedback to AFC on PEMEX and Contract crafts on performance both safety, behaviors and craftsmanship that deserves recognition or requires attention
      • Annually support the Performance Annual Review (PAR) form for each craft employee.
      • Support skills gaps identification and develop training to improve overall craft competencies and qualifications including training in advancing technology and tools
        • Maintain Documentation and Records
          • Provide weekly communication regarding the readiness status of upcoming (HW/SW) work
          • Provide quality control for all required discipline paperwork and facilitate handoff to Technical
          • Ensures crafts tools and test equipment are PM’d and documentation maintained as appropriate
          • Backfill for AFC, during vacations, on Fridays off by handling:
            • Timely approval/entry of Schedule Pro, TRACK, Service Entry Sheets (SES) & Invoices in GSAP
            • Daily Assignment Sheet (DAS) is accurately completed and distributed daily
Qualifications:
  • In-depth understanding of Maintenance Execution work process
  • Extensive hands-on experience in the relevant Instrumentation discipline
  • Proficient in GSAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Primavera and Impress
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Ability to analyze details, identify, and implement change
  • Receptive to feedback
  • 5 years of managing maintenance work.
  • 10 years varied experience in Oil Refining / Petrochemical environment (e.g. projects, maintenance, turnarounds.
