What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Clerk / Notary position at PENN HILLS AUTO TAG & NOTARY?
OVERVIEW:
This is an administrative / customer service position assisting walk-in customers with their title and registration needs.
DUTIES:
*Review and process title documents with accuracy. A keen attention to detail is required.
*Prepare and maintain files, ensuring all documents are properly organized and stored.
*Communication with customers, dealerships, and financial institutions to gather necessary information.
*Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to title processing.
*Stay updated on changes in State procedures and title regulations to ensure compliance.
*Provide exceptional customer service with a smile.
SKILLS:
*Previous experience in title processing or a related field is preferred.
*Notary Public license highly preferred. If not a current Notary Public, must become a Notary Public within 3 months of hire. This is SELF-PAY. Please visit https://www.notary.org/Services/Become-a-Notary/ for more information regarding cost. Training will be provided both online and in-office.
*Previous experience working directly with the public and enjoying it is essential. Our employees must truly enjoy working with the public! REQUIREMENTS:
*Must be 18 years or older.
*High school diploma required. College preferred.
*Must have experience working in an office environment using computer software such as Microsoft Office and must have competent typing skills of at least 65 WPM. This is a requirement.
*Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
WORK SCHEDULE:
*CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 4 WEEKDAYS FROM 9am-6pm AND EVERY OTHER SATURDAY FROM 9am-5pm. This is a set schedule. If you have any hesitation regarding your ability to work the schedule outlined here, do not apply.
*The Training Period will NOT be a full-time schedule. Training involves a Part-Time schedule for up to 12 weeks, increasing in hours as training progresses.
**While experience is not necessary to apply, the pay range for applicants with zero notary or titling experience will be $17/hour. Pay for applicants who have some notary and/or titling experience is increased according to experience level.
