Job Summary:
The Business Process Integration Consultant is responsible for coordinating and/or leading local and enterprise-wide level execution of Strategic Optimization Projects for their assigned area(s). This is a position requiring independent thought and judgment combined with the ability to understand front-line business operations in a multitude of unique settings.
Working under limited supervision, this individual will facilitate implementation and acceptance of common healthcare technology applications.
Accountabilities:
- Facilitate execution of enterprise and local-level strategic optimization projects.
- Inform, design and assure implementation and adoption of technology solutions.
- Assure departmental and system readiness for implementations, upgrades, new hospitals/practices.
- Support and understand the needs of the client
- Communications are timely and appropriate to audience.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Open to change and different approaches to work.
- Clinical Team only: Coordinate and lead governance and prioritization within the local entities.
- Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- 2 years working with electronic medical records, applications. (Required)
- Prior experience in a medical practice management or healthcare management role. (Preferred)
- Masters Degree (Preferred)
- EPIC Certification (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of electronic medical records functionality (Required)
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) (Required)
- Ability to use Visio (Required)
- Demonstrable ability to lead and deliver strategically important projects through to completion (Required)
