We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in process efficiently.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments while maintaining an organized calendar.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in preparing care plans and documenting treatment notes as needed.
- Utilize Meditech or Epic software for managing patient information and scheduling.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal care delivery.
- Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with ICD-9 coding.
- Experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
- Strong skills in insurance verification processes, including Medicare knowledge.
- Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Meditech or Epic software is a plus but not mandatory.
