Brush and Roll Painter

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is now hiring for brush and roll painters for a local Yacht company in Honolulu, HI. We are looking for painters that can scrape barnacle off boats and then brush and roll paint. This is a contract job for about 3 months or longer.

Duties

• Surface preparation: Cleaning, sanding, patching imperfections, and applying primer to ensure proper paint adhesion.
• Masking and protection: Covering areas not meant to be painted with drop cloths, masking tape, and other protective materials.
• Paint mixing and matching: Accurately mixing paint colors to match project specifications.
• Application with brushes and rollers: Applying paint using various types of brushes for trim, edges, and detailed areas, and rollers for large flat surfaces.
• Touch-up work: Addressing any imperfections or missed areas after the initial paint application.
• Cleaning and maintenance: Cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas after each job.

Qualifications

• Must have a Experience in Construction painting
• Must have a good attitude and work ethic
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Experience:

• brush and roll painting: 1 year (Required)
• marine/shipyard: 1 year (Preferred)
