PeopleService is accepting applications for our Arlington/Green Isle, Minnesota locations performing day-to-day water wastewater duties.
For the certified operator interest - Arlington's wastewater treatment facility is a Class B mechanical treatment plant, while the water is a Class C gravity filter plant. The collection system consists of 2 odor control stations and 4 lift stations. Green Isle's collection system consists of 2 lift stations.
For the new career interest - as a water/wastewater operator you will perform a variety of skilled, technical and administrative work in the operations and maintenance of complex equipment and treatment processes. Below is a sampling of duties but does not encompass it all:
- Preventive maintenance/repair/replacement of the water/wastewater treatment facilities, as well as distribution, collections and pumping facilities. This may including hydrant flushing, valve turning, repairing pumps, blowers, etc.
- Monitor, observe and interpret the performance of all equipment, gauges, meters, control panels to determine processing requirements.
- Extract samples and perform lab analysis.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and daily logs of all pertinent information as required.
- Perform meter reading and sewer/water main locates.
- Ensure all general maintenance of buildings, grounds, vehicles and tools is performed.
- Land apply bio-solids and manage the land application program.
PeopleService will pay to gain higher certifications or obtain certifications - but you must demonstrate a desire to learn and grow.
Pay is dependent upon certifications and experience.
