Responsibilities for an Equipment Setup Technician:
- Entry-level position working under close supervision in a production shop.
- Set up new equipment for delivery to end-user customers while following company training programs, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Set up and prep assigned equipment, performing operational checks and necessary adjustments using the Supply Chain Install/Return Checklist.
- Achieve productivity and quality standards.
- Analyze and troubleshoot equipment failures to determine corrective action.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Complete all required administrative tasks accurately and timely.
- Maintain control of company assets provided.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements for an Equipment Setup Technician:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic technical knowledge (mechanical, electronics, and basic computer skills).
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret, comprehend, and apply complex material, data, and instructions.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and typical temperature and noise levels.
- Physical effort required for lifting tool cases and equipment up to 75 pounds and moving objects on wheels weighing up to 700 pounds.
- Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling to service equipment at floor level.
- Exposure to conditions such as minor cuts, burns, chemical solvents, and cleaners.
- May require overtime or working outside normal hours as needed.
