Scope of Position
The Supply Chain Manager oversees all logistics operations, ensuring efficient material handling, receiving, shipping, and warehouse management. This role coordinates activities across departments to meet production schedules, customer delivery expectations, and organizational goals while adhering to company policies and objectives.
Responsibilities
Safety and Compliance :
Enforce established safety, health, quality, and GMP policies and procedures.
Collaboration and Communication :
Partner with customers, schedulers, plant operations, and supply plants to ensure timely, cost-effective product delivery.
Work with Operations, Maintenance, and Shift Supervisors to meet production schedules and resolve potential issues proactively.
Inventory and Scheduling :
Monitor and control inventory levels, including establishing and maintaining minimum / maximum levels.
Prepare daily and weekly production schedules to align with customer forecasts and operational goals.
Manage customer service functions, including inventory forecasting, reporting, and communication.
Performance Management :
Utilize SAP / MRP and other tools to enhance performance metrics.
Support commercial teams with customer scorecards and KPI maintenance.
Collaborate with Operations Manager to optimize On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) percentages and resolve supply chain challenges.
Continuous Improvement :
Drive operational improvements by supporting continuous improvement initiatives and participating in monthly S&OP processes.
Escalate supply risks to corporate teams following company protocols.
Operational Support :
Work with Maintenance to optimize preventive maintenance schedules.
Partner with Plant Controller and Operations to adjust production forecasts.
Ensure warehouse inventory accuracy and proper handling of damaged products per HFI procedures.
Reporting and Analysis :
Develop and deliver reports on inventory, production, and forecast accuracy.
Provide material schedules to support regrind consumption.
Travel :
Limited travel may be required.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five years experience in warehouse supervision or management within a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively interact with managers, employees, vendors, and customers.
Required Skills and Competencies
Consistent, punctual attendance and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
Self-motivated and able to complete tasks independently within established guidelines.
