Senior Vice President, Career Accelerator and Alumni Relations

Overview
Per Scholas seeks a visionary leader to serve as the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Career Accelerator and Alumni Relations. This highly collaborative role is critical to achieving our ambitious goal of serving 10,000 participants annually by 2030, with at least 5,000 advancing their careers. The SVP will oversee alumni services, ensuring Per Scholas graduates achieve long-term career progression and wage growth. The SVP will also lead the strategic development of the Career Accelerator program, a focused technical upskilling initiative; collaborating with Innovation and Revenue teams to build new sustainability that builds streams for Per Scholas and expands access to a broader audience of learners. The SVP CAAR also plays a critical leadership role on the TST (Training Support Team), will work collaboratively as part of the TST leadership team to deliver on Per Scholas' training objectives and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership and Program Growth
- Design and implement a roadmap to scale the Career Accelerator program, centered on advanced technical upskilling, to serve 10,000 participants annually by 2030.
- Drive program innovation to align with employer needs and emerging industry trends in technology.
- Establish partnerships with employers, tech companies, and educational institutions to enrich the upskilling offerings.
- Partner with the technology design team to lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of technical upskilling programs that prepare alumni and participants for high-demand roles in technology.
- Implement initiatives encouraging at least 33% of alumni from the prior two years to return for upskilling, ensuring their skills remain competitive in a rapidly evolving field.
- Identify and integrate cutting-edge technologies and tools into the curriculum to future-proof participants’ careers.
- Alumni Services and Advancement Products
- Oversee the development and delivery of alumni services tailored to support technical career progression and wage growth.
- Build a robust suite of services, including mentorship, career coaching, technical certifications, and job placement support.
- Strengthen alumni engagement by creating a thriving professional network and community.
- Revenue Generation and Sustainability
- Collaborate with the Development and Sales team to grow revenue models for the Career Accelerator program to ensure long-term sustainability while maintaining accessibility for participants.
- Cultivate funding and sponsorship opportunities with corporate partners, philanthropic donors, and tech industry stakeholders.
- Explore subscription models, fee-based certifications, and other innovative approaches to balance accessibility with financial goals.
- Impact Measurement and Reporting
- Establish systems to track outcomes such as job placements, wage progression, and technical skill advancement.
- Provide regular impact reporting to stakeholders, including funders, and partners.
- Team Leadership and Organizational Collaboration
- Build and manage a high-performing team focused on technical upskilling and alumni relations.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to integrate Career Accelerator goals with broader organizational priorities.
- Represent Per Scholas in external forums as a thought leader in technical upskilling and workforce development.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to scale programs or organizations, with a strong background in technical training, workforce development, or upskilling initiatives.
- Deep understanding of industry trends in technology and the skills required for high-demand roles.
- Experience designing programs or services that deliver measurable outcomes in technical upskilling and career progression.
- Demonstrated success in revenue generation, including securing funding or sponsorships for education or workforce initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Data-driven mindset with a passion for tracking and achieving measurable outcomes.

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary range of $140,000 - 150,000 where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.
