Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sergeant to oversee security operations and supervise armed security personnel at Performance One Security. The Sergeant will be responsible for maintaining safety and security, ensuring that all policies, procedures, and safety protocols are followed, and providing leadership to a team of security officers. This position requires strong communication, decision-making, and leadership skills, with a focus on the protection of assets, personnel, and property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of armed security officers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct routine patrols of the facility or assigned area to monitor security threats and ensure safety.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergency situations, including but not limited to, security breaches, accidents, or disturbances.
- Report and document all incidents, activities, and irregularities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Conduct training sessions for security personnel to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to handle security situations effectively.
- Enforce security policies and provide clear guidance to team members regarding protocol and safety procedures.
- Perform risk assessments and take appropriate action to mitigate potential security threats.
- Maintain effective communication with management and other departments to address security concerns or provide updates on ongoing situations.
- Ensure that security equipment, such as firearms and radios, is properly maintained and in working condition.
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and other relevant authorities when necessary.
- Ensure that all security team members adhere to uniform standards, professional conduct, and customer service expectations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Valid Armed Security License.
- Knowledge of security operations, emergency response procedures, and risk management.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug testing, and physical fitness assessments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in security or law enforcement preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks related to patrolling, responding to incidents, and maintaining security.
- Ability to lift or move equipment and materials weighing up to [X] pounds.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., outdoor elements).
