Position Details
The Facilities Manager is a proactive leader responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all facility functions. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to oversee day-to-day maintenance and operational activities effectively. The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to quality, teamwork, and customer service.
The essential responsibilities of the Facilities Manager include, but are not limited to :
- Manages facility operations, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Coordinates and oversees routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections across all campuses.
- Works with outside vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Leads the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance employee performance.
- Delegates tasks, supervises work, and addresses conflicts to maintain team productivity and morale.
- Understands and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards established by governing and accrediting bodies, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).
- Develops and maintains inspection records, equipment logs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Assists with facility-related aspects of construction and renovation projects.
- Serves as point of contact for facility-related issues, promptly addressing concerns to minimize disruptions.
