The Accounts Payable I is an integral member of the Global Accounting team. This position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and works closely with domestic and international accounting personnel. The successful candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge, be detail oriented and have a strong desire to grow within the firm.
Primary Responsibilities
This is a temporary 3-month assignment.
Hourly rate: $26.00 to $29.00 per hour

Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain the Accounts Payable inbox; respond to inquiries, address approved invoices and rejected invoice in a timely manner.
- Review vendor invoices for supporting documentation and approval prior to processing.
- Perform data entry of source documents and code to appropriate cost centers and general ledger accounts in the ERP system in timely manner.
- Review employee expense reports and/or corporate credit card statements to ensure compliance with company policy prior to processing.
- Process weekly check runs and mail payments that are approved for release.
- Process internal check requests
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions with vendor statements to resolve discrepancies.
- Respond to accounts payable inquiries in timely manner.
- Escalate complex matters to Accounts Payable II or Accounts Payable Manager
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and projects at multiple levels of complexity as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in accounting or other related fields.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience within a professional services environment preferably in Architectural, Engineering and Construction.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Self-starter attitude and ability to exercise judgment and solve problems without direct supervision.
- ERP experience (Deltek Vision) desired
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information.
- Possess and demonstrate the highest degree of integrity.
- Commitment to ethical behavior and compliance with all Company policies, current FASB guidance, and US and International laws
