What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Manager position at Perspective Engineering and Design LLC?
This position is for part-time (20-30 hours/week)
- Professional Engineering (PE) and/or Registered Architect (RA) preferred.
- Managerial leadership and experience to review and markup construction drawings according to individual project scope.
- Knowledge to hand calculate / design structural members for residential additions and renovations required.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Architecture 2024 and Revit. Individual computer / laptop required. Software will be provided.
- Forensic assessment to determine the cause and extent of structural damage to buildings a plus.
- Passionate in architectural, civil, structural, and construction engineering of residential buildings and light commercial buildings.
- Self-motivated and dependable to work remotely.
- Occasionally, have the ability to meet engineer and/or clients at project locations (Greater Philadelphia Area) for inspections and meetings. Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.
The typical day in this position: Review the scope of projects with the design team. Evaluate drawings and reports to assist the design team on preliminary construction documents. Markup preliminary drawings for the design to revise. Design structural elements according to local codes and standards. Attend Google MEET to troubleshoot design issues.
PE&D is a start-up company, going on our 2nd year, that is looking for motivated individuals to learn, teach and grow with us. We do not have a brick-and-mortar office, we work remotely when we are not at project sites, and we utilize Monday.com to coordinate project management.
