Pete's Auto Parts is 30 employees strong, with 5 full time salespeople. 17% of our sales are retail (local or shipped nationwide,) 33% are to body shops, garages and used car dealers (mostly delivered over the west half of Michigan and into northern Indiana,) and 50% we sell to other used auto parts stores across the country. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Manager located in Jenison, MI. The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the sales team, setting sales goals and targets, and developing strategic plans to achieve them. Daily tasks include monitoring sales performance, conducting market research, identifying new sales opportunities, and maintaining relationships with key clients. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for training and mentoring new sales team members, preparing sales reports, and coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless operations. The Sales Manager is also responsible for filling in for the sales representatives when they are out on vacation, following up with customers and handling problem orders.
Qualifications
- Sales skills, including setting sales targets, developing strategic sales plans, and performance monitoring
- Experience in training, mentoring, and managing a sales team
- Strong client relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to prepare and analyze sales reports
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills
- Previous experience in the automotive parts industry is a plus
