Job brief
We are looking for a skilled Billing/Accounts Receivable Clerk to be responsible for creating all invoices and applying payments for clients in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Create itemized invoices, statements and other necessary billing documents
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, verify accuracy of billing data, correct any errors
- Apply client payments correctly
- Contact clients to obtain payment information
- Understand revenue accounts and cost centers
- Assist the Accounting Department with other responsibilities
Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Billing/Accounts Receivable Clerk
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Prior service or construction accounting experience helpful
