Job Description
Peterson Cat has the immediate need for a Billing Portal Specialist based at either our Hillsboro, OR or San Leandro, CA locations.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing all customer billing portals. This position works with operations and the Credit team to identify and set up customer billing portals. This position is responsible for the entire portal process, including : set up of each portal and input of invoices and follow up to ensure payment on a timely basis. The Portal Specialist monitors the fees associated with each portal to ensure expenses remain under control. Continuous improvement will remain top-of-mind in order to maximize efficiencies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Integration, input, and maintenance of electronic billing of customer invoices submitted through various proprietary invoicing portals mandated by Peterson's customers.
- Perform research, investigation, follow-up, and resolution of issues related to rejected invoices submitted through various billing portals.
- Assist with the development and process design of the various invoicing strategies via cross-functional teaming with Sales, Operations, and Support groups, etc.
- Learn, implement, and maintain uniform procedures and practices to ensure consistency and enhanced customer satisfaction regarding portal invoice billing and problem resolution that will contribute towards the rapid collection and protection of the company's accounts receivable.
- Provide regular input to Credit Manager regarding the achievement of targeted goals around the input, maintenance, and problem resolution relating to customer invoicing portals.
- Proactively interface and communicate with internal and external customers on an ongoing and regular basis to resolve issues related to electronic portal invoicing that will contribute towards the successful achievement of the goals and objectives of the Credit Department.
- Document all processes and procedures related to the invoicing portals.
- Monitor expenses related to portals to ensure adequate expense control.
- Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED; and a minimum of two years of directly related experience in credit collections or accounting, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
The CALIFORNIA hourly pay rate for this position is : $30.63-35.99. (Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.)
