Description
The Staff Accountant (A / R) is responsible for the day-to-day activities related to accounts receivable transactions (including credit cards, process consigned fuel invoices, EFT and analyze customer accounts and other charges). The Staff Accountant is also responsible for ensuring compliance with internal control policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. These are all full-time positions and require 5 days per week on-site from 9AM-6PM
Job Duties
- Review and process consigned fuel invoices for commission agents (CA)
- Verify and post daily credit card receipts to the customer accounts
- Communicate with fuel vendors and merchant services to resolve credit card related issues
- EFT customer accounts daily according to their payment terms, company policy and procedures
- Analyze customer accounts bi-monthly, to return excess credit on the account
- Check the fuel vendors portal for non-fuel recurring charges, create import files and import the charges to customer accounts
- Review and post checks and wire receipts
- Review fuel inventories and troubleshooting any inventory variance
- Work with accounting customer service, assist in responding to customer and field operation requests
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities related to open receivables.
- Participate in training to improve the knowledge on accounting software or any industry / accounting-specific topics.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Benefits
Salary / Income : $45,000 - $55,000 Annually

Qualifications
Diploma or certificate in accounting and 1-2 years accounting experience is required. Knowledge of the petroleum industry desired.
