About the Role
This position plays a critical role in ensuring that our products meet both internal and external quality standards. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding quality concerns, providing timely and effective communication.
- Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and audits as necessary to resolve quality issues and improve customer satisfaction.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any quality-related issues raised by customers.
- Develop and execute quality assurance strategies to ensure product compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Monitor and track customer complaints and non-conformance reports (NCRs), ensuring effective follow-up and resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams (production, engineering, and R&D) to drive continuous improvement and ensure quality standards are met.
- Review and approve First Article Inspections (FAI), inspection plans, and process validations to ensure product quality before production starts.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of quality metrics and performance in compliance with internal systems and customer requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations to drive innovation in quality management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 36 months general quality or manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 24-months specific experience in precision metals fabrication and machining.
- Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or similar credentials preferred.
