Dental Insurance Coordinator Position

We are willing to train the right individual who at least has dental experience.
Responsibilities:
-Verify insurance coverage
-Communicate with patients to obtain insurance information
-Enter insurance plans & benefits into Open Dental software accurately
-Manage the insurance aging report
-Create and submit insurance appeals & resubmissions
-Communicate effectively with insurance companies and their representatives
-Monitor insurance provider directories to ensure accuracy of our doctor’s profile
-Maintain current records of in/out of network status, plans accepted, and associated fee schedules
-Work closely with our Treatment Coordinator (assist as needed in creating treatment plans, submitting insurance claims and collecting payment, etc.)
-Work closely with our Office Manager (provide reports, troubleshoot insurance issues, make sure all claims are paid and processed each month, keep our doctor’s insurance credentialing up to date, etc.)
-General front desk/reception duties (answering calls, scheduling patients, checking patients in & out, etc)
-Occasionally assist with clinical tasks as needed
-Other duties & projects as assigned
We are a single doctor, private practice. The patient experience is our top priority. Each member of our team works together supporting each other to ensure our patients receive excellent care in a calm and stress-free environment. We get to know our patients and greet them by name as they walk in. We have a fun team, who enjoy working together in a very positive, upbeat environment. We are looking for another great person to join us!
Hours: Monday through Wednesday, 7:45 AM - 4:15 with option for more hours in the future.
Pay: $18-25 hourly, based on experience
