Job Summary
As an Injection Mold Technician you will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machine, monitoring the production process, inspecting parts for quality control, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the manufacturing processes run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute daily mold exchanges, ensuring smooth transitions whenever product specifications change, and maintaining optimal efficiency in the production process.
- Accurately input, track, and manage the raw materials required for injection molding processes, ensuring proper inventory levels and timely availability for production needs.
- Monitor machine operation, inspect parts for defects, and make adjustments as needed.
- Conduct test runs of injection machines, oversee the calibration process, and provide instruction on robotic system operations, ensuring all equipment is functioning according to specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of molds, ensuring they are properly cleaned, repaired, and stored to ensure longevity and continued high-quality production.
- Monitor and maintain injection molding equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in optimal working condition, adhering to safety standards, and performing regular maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
- Provide training on injection molding operations to team members, focusing on fundamental techniques, operational processes, and product management practices to enhance team proficiency and consistency.
- Support the documentation process by maintaining detailed logs of injection molding operations, tracking daily activities, work progress, and any issues encountered to ensure effective reporting and continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1- 2 years of injection molding experience (mold exchange and injection machine operation)
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including guiding and training.
- Experience in injection molding processes.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and finishing tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machine operations.
Physical Requirements
- Continually stand or walk >90% of work time.
- Continually required to talk, hear, write.
- Required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Frequently lift and or move up to 50 lbs.
- Performing duties of this job the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision inability to just focus.
- The work area is heat/air conditioned within an office environment, with 100% of the time spent in a shop floor environment.
Shift Requirements
- This role will involve working day shifts until early 2025. Following this period, the position will transition to a full-time night shift.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour
