What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Prep Cook position at Philmont Country Club?
We are looking for a professional prep cook to prepare food and to set up stations for the menu. Prep cook duties will consist of assisting with all their tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Banquet Prep Cook Duties And Responsibilities
Philmont Country Club, with its historic background and classic architecture, has been a staple in Huntingdon Valley for over a century. Golfers of all abilities enjoy 18 holes of golf situated on the Club's beautifully landscaped property. Along with a pristine golf course and various opportunities for instruction, the Club boasts a year-round social calendar with events for members with a variety of interests. Philmont also offers a spectacular dining menu available for members' enjoyment in the newly-renovated 1906 Grille and Pub. And the Club's stone patio is the perfect location for those seeking to dine al fresco. Adjacent to the clubhouse is the Olympic sized swimming pool with updated lounge chairs and access to the full-service grille. In addition, Philmont offers its members a plethora of tennis programs designed to entice all skill levels and features 10 Har-Tru outdoor tennis courts and 3 indoor courts.
Banquet Prep Cook Duties And Responsibilities
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations.
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks.
- Plating prepared foods based on the senior chef’s guidance.
- Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.
- Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts.
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
- At least one year of cooking experience.
- Excellent kitchen administration knowledge and ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong organization and active listening skills.
- The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time.
- Exceptional time management skills.
