Position Overview:
The HR Director will provide comprehensive human resources leadership across multiple company locations, ensuring consistent implementation of HR policies, programs, and practices while supporting our organization's strategic objectives. This role requires travel to various company sites to provide hands-on HR support and maintain strong relationships with location management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with executive team to align HR initiatives with organizational goals
- Develop, implement, and manage HR policies and procedures across all company locations
- Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, organizational development, and talent management
Multi-Location Support (Travel Required)
- Travel to company locations to provide on-site HR support
- Build relationships with location managers and employees to understand site-specific needs
- Ensure consistent application of company policies across all locations
- Conduct periodic site assessments to identify and address HR-related issues
Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all locations
- Stay current on legislative changes affecting multiple jurisdictions
- Conduct regular audits of HR practices to maintain compliance
- Manage risk mitigation strategies for employment-related matters
Talent Management
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes for key positions across locations
- Develop and implement retention strategies to reduce turnover
- Establish consistent performance management practices across the organization
Employee Relations
- Provide guidance on complex employee relations issues
- Investigate and resolve workplace conflicts and grievances
- Foster a positive company culture across all locations
- Serve as an escalation point for sensitive HR matters
Benefits Administration
- Oversee the administration of company-wide benefits programs
- Ensure accuracy of benefits enrollment and processing
HRIS & Analytics
- Manage company's HRIS system (Dayforce) and ensure data integrity
- Generate and analyze HR metrics to inform business decisions
- Prepare comprehensive reports for executive leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in management capacity
- Prior experience supporting multiple locations/regions strongly preferred
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws
- Strong proficiency with HRIS systems and HR analytics tools particularly in Dayforce, is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to influence and partner with leadership teams
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel to multiple company locations (air and ground travel)
- General office environment requirements
- May require occasional evening or weekend availability to address urgent matters
