What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Clerk position at Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida?
Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician owned and managed primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Estero, and Lehigh Acres. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Administration Team in Fort Myers.
Sample of Duties:
- Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
- Assists in the preparation of various cost reports
- Processes 1099s at year-end to appropriate vendors and independent contractors
- Prepares business mileage reimbursements for payroll processing
- Processes the payment of refunds for patient's accounts
- Maintains required records, reports, files
- Maintains the strictest confidentiality at all times
Position Requirements:
- Must have at least two (2) experience working in a high volume accounting office.
- Great attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of the organization
- Solid problem identification and resolution skills
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes, systems, and practices
- Regular and reliable job attendance is required
- Prior medical practice experience helpful
