Nurse Manager Job Description
Job Summary Piatt County Nursing Home is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee the nursing staff and ensure the highest quality of patient care in our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices. This role is essential in fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The Piatt County Nursing Home is unique in nursing in that it offers a true retirement pension through the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
Duties
- Supervise and manage nursing floor staff and assisting floor nurses
- Rounding with wound Doctor and completing wound notes
- Pressure wound care
- Admissions/Re-Admissions along with admission screenings.
- Ensure compliance nursing care standards and long-term care regulations .
- Reviewing and following up on labs and processing orders
- Calling Doctors and POAs with updates and entering physician visits in Point Click care
- .Covering Nursing call offs on the floor when necessary.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical background.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
- Knowledge of current trends in nursing practice and healthcare regulations.

Pay: $43.00 - $45.00 per hour
