Summary
We are seeking an Estimator to join our team at Pierce Excavation. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project cost. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring our projects are profitable and meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for various excavation and construction projects.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop accurate budgets.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient cost analysis.
- Conduct site visits to gather data for estimates and assess project feasibility.
- Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals.
- Take off's will be required knowledge in this area is a must.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles and construction management practices.
- Familiarity with estimating software such as Bluebeam or HeavyBid is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing strategies.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
- Strong negotiation skills for contract discussions with vendors and subcontractors.
- Experience working on construction sites is beneficial but not required.
Must have experience, someone with knowledge on buildertrend, bidding sites such as procore, effective communication, excel, word, take off's.
