Job Responsibilities include:
- Looking up, quoting and ordering parts for our internal and external customers. Checking in and stocking the daily parts deliveries. Assist with inventory control and returns.
- Ensures the cleanliness of the parts department by disposing of used boxes and trash, sweeping floors and dusting parts bins daily.
- Crates all cores for shipment back to the manufacturer when part has been replaced.
- Assists detail department in washing cars when shorthanded.
- Helps push cars into shop when they cannot be started.
- Stocks and posts incoming orders.
- Assists parts manager in processing weekly stock orders.
- Notifies appropriate parties when special-order parts arrive.
- Serves as back-up for parts manager for inventory functions.
- Updates electronic parts files.
- Ensures that credits are received for returned parts.
- Returns parts as needed and removes from inventory after credit is received.
- Matches purchase orders and invoices, approves, and forwards to accounting office.
- Files company copies of parts counter invoices.
- Assists in preparing for and performing annual parts inventory.
- Assists in annual parts returns.
- Assists with parts department telephone coverage.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand and sit for an extended period
- Frequently equired to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
