Purpose
As a Member Of The School’s Marketing Communications Team, The Communications Associate Collaborates With The Team To Support Activities For The Following Strategic Areas Of Focus

Community Engagement (After School and Summer Programming, Campus Store, Alumni)

Educational Design
Essential Job Functions
Supports the School’s mission statement and the philosophy of the department and adheres to School policies and procedures, including but not limited to what is outlined in the Employee Handbook
Assists with project management and activities as determined by project lead including data management and reporting in Raiser’s Edge, written communications and development of marketing collateral materials
Provides data reporting in support and demonstration of campaign and fundraising activities efficacy for assessment and review
Supporting Raiser’s Edge data integrity for donors, alumni, faculty and staff
Identifying novel ways, when needed, to develop accurate distribution lists for purposes of campaign use and communication initiatives
Supports with social content by attending activities or events to capture content on an ad hoc basis by request
Collaborate with the Philanthropic Engagement department and Advancement Services teams to execute high-level, strategic communications
Provide backup to the database manager and gift manager
Participates in scheduled check ins with the School’s Blackbaud customer success representative and participates in Blackbaud professional development (BBCON, Blackbaud University, user groups, etc.)
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department supervisor or their designee
Education
Bachelor’s degree required; Degree in English, journalism, communications or related field is preferred
Experience And Qualifications
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented school, corporation, or agency
Has experience in graphic design (Adobe InDesign, Express, Photoshop and/or Illustrator)
Ability to create social media videos (Reels for Instagram and Facebook)
