Summary :   Sr. Business Development Representative must be an experienced and motivated individual to drive growth in our clinical research services. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, nurturing strategic partnerships, and leading key initiatives to expand our client base. Sr. Business Development Representative will bring a proven track record in business development within the clinical research or healthcare industry, coupled with strong leadership and strategic thinking skills. Experience in clinical research and / or pharmaceutical research and development is highly preferred. Concentration in CNS / Neuroscience preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Successful candidates will be self-starters, with responsibilities including but not limited to the following :

Strategic Business Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to grow revenue and market share in clinical research services.
  • Identify high-value opportunities and partnerships with key leads.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of clients, prioritizing leads with significant potential.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and aligning them with the company’s expertise.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build the brand and establish relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to refine services and solutions based on market feedback.
  • Oversee the preparation of high-quality proposals, presentations, and bids tailored to client needs.
  • Assist Scientific KOL in negotiations, ensuring favorable outcomes for both the company and the client.
  • Lead life sciences consulting efforts and initiatives
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior business development representatives, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and clinical teams, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Contribute to the development of business development best practices and strategies.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics, including pipeline status, revenue growth, and client retention.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage client interactions and ensure accurate data tracking.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH) or certifications in clinical research or business development are preferred.
  • 5–7 years of experience in business development, sales, or client management, with a strong background in clinical research, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
  • Education may substitute experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing complex deals and achieving revenue targets.
  • Experience working with large clients and managing high-value contracts is essential.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools, sales tracking software, and market analysis platforms.

  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.

    FLSA Classification : This is an exempt position.

  • Work may be performed in an office / laboratory and / or a clinical environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required domestic and / or international 10%.
  • Ability to work in an upright and / or stationary position for 6-10 hours per day.
  • Frequent mobility required.
  • Occasional squatting, kneeling, or bending.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including medical equipment with a maximum lift of 20-50 lbs.
