: As a member of the Director Leadership Team, the Assistant Director of Capital Infrastructure and Facility Management (CIFM) reports to the Director of Capital Infrastructure and Facility Management and principally performs a collaborative role in the Director Leadership Team and the overall in the CIFM Department. The Assistant Director is responsible for directing work while-planning and aligning staff, operations, and administrative functions of the Department to optimize work processes. The Assistant Director is responsible for developing and administering policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems to ensure completion of client services and adherence by staff to policies and procedures, client budgets and daily operations. The Assistant Director identifies and implements systems and resources that provide productivity, efficiency and quality control to the Department that cultivates innovation. The Assistant Director is responsible for client satisfaction, including oversight and development of client budgets and scopes of client services. The Assistant Director provides leadership within the Department, with the other Assistant Directors and across the Company by communicating effectively and utilizing procedures and practices that instill trust and builds collaboration.

Major Responsibilities

  • Department Management
  • Coordinates and communicates frequently with the Director in all areas of Department Management, ensuring alignment with the Director's and the Company's leadership.
  • Develops, establishes and ensures internal cohesion and adherence to department policies and procedures related to client services and in compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Ensures high performing, effective and efficient client service teams.
  • Assists with staff development by utilizing the Professional Development Plans (PDP) as well as utilizing other performance and training opportunities.
  • Meets regularly with Department staff members in one-on-one meetings.
  • Anticipates operating challenges and situations and provides proactive solutions and recommendations to Director.
  • Researches and provides recommendations to the Director to strategically enhance systems, tools and resources for overall client services and assists with implementation.
  • Assists with oversight of each client budget and adherence to billable hours and agreed upon scope.
  • Coaches, trains and mentors Department Personnel
  • Demonstrates Company culture and values in leadership role.
  • Assists with directing staff activity, preparation of department budget allocations and assigning workload.
  • Monitors workload and holds team accountable for meeting billable hours.
  • Assists with the development and mentoring of staff through clear and consistent communication using the Proficiency Review and other available information.
  • Assists in holding staff accountable to department and Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures staff has appropriate and sufficient resources.
  • Assists with monitoring and maintaining department personnel job satisfaction, department morale, and adherence to company values.
  • Assists with the recruitment of new staff, including performing interviews and pre-employment skills assessment.
  • Client Relations
  • Assists with management of overall client expectations and client satisfaction of Department services.
  • Assists with managing and developing client budgets and holding staff accountable for under/over budget amounts in order to provide services according to defined scope and client expectations.
  • Company Relations/Director Team
  • Intentionally establishes and maintains strong relationships with Department Directors and Assistant Directors to coordinate, implement and model company policies and procedures, culture and core values, and to address challenges related to daily operations and client services.
  • May assist the Director Team with strategic growth and development of department client services.
  • Supports the Director and Directors in serving the Director Leadership Team by working across departments to manage overall client services and company operations, balancing department and company needs.
  • Provides leadership to all staff in alignment with Company culture and the Director Leadership Team's collective direction.
  • Employs teamwork to solve current issues and proactively solve future issues across all departments.
  • Implements annual goals on a Department, ensuring alignment with the Company's annual goals and focus.
  • Senior Project Manager/Project Manager

May serve as the Senior Project Manager/Project Manager on some client services teams.

Supervised by: Director of Capital Infrastructure and Facility Management

Supervises: Assists in supervising all members of the Capital Infrastructure and Facility Management Department.

Education & Experience Required

  • Five or more years of progressive experience in infrastructure and facility management.

  • Experience in the operation of special districts (Title 32 Governmental Agencies) and governmental accounting.
  • Working knowledge of city and state government laws and processes related to formation of special districts and ongoing relations.
  • Experience with systems and technology.

  • This position involves work in an office and outdoors at various project sites. The estimated is 90% indoors and 10% outdoors.

  • Has frequent need to perform the following physical activities: bend/stoop/squat, climb stairs, push or pull, reach above shoulders.
  • Constant needs to perform the following physical activities: writing/typing, grasping/turning, and finger dexterity.
  • Lifting/carrying less than 10 pounds frequently.
  • Vision requirements: constant needs to read manuals, reports, financial statements, complete forms and view computer screen.
  • Hearing requirements: constant needs to communicate over telephone and in person.

Driving Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License and a clean driving record to operate a company owned fleet vehicle.
  • Ability and means to travel locally as needed, proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required.
