The firm is seeking an investment professional to join its Private Assets Research Group in Los Angeles. The Sr. Associate or Vice President will assist in identifying new private market investment opportunities, conducting market research, and monitoring existing investments. Candidates should have a strong interest in private equity and alternative investments. This is an in-office role, requiring full-time work at the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities:
They are seeking an Sr. Associate or VP with strong analytical skills and a self-starter mindset. The Professional will, among other things:
- Assist in the buyout strategy by identifying new investment opportunities. The professional will communicate with managers, participate in due diligence meetings, conduct performance and portfolio analyses using Excel, prepare performance reports, and deliver investment recommendations along with other materials for clients
- Hold regular investment monitoring calls with current managers, providing summaries of essential performance drivers, portfolio adjustments, and organizational updates. They will also track and analyze important portfolio and performance metrics
- Responsible for industry research in private equity.The professional will conduct research to monitor market trends and contribute to the team’s quarterly market outlook, webinars, and research papers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics
- 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in private equity is required
- Strong understanding of investment management and financial analysis is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
- Proficiency in Excel is necessary
